We are seeking a Director of Product Design to lead the design vision and culture for a cutting-edge SaaS platform at the intersection of 3D, AI, and spatial computing. This role requires deep expertise in UX methodology, Figma, WebGL, and product design for complex SaaS applications, with proven leadership in scaling design teams and delivering exceptional user experiences.
✅ Mandatory Criteria
- Minimum 7+ years of product design experience, including 2+ years in leadership/management
- Deep expertise in UX methodology (end-to-end design process: discovery → delivery → iteration)
- Mastery of Figma and modern design tooling
- Experience designing complex, data-rich SaaS platforms, developer tools, or productivity applications
- Candidates must be from SaaS/Software/IT Services startups or scaleups

🎯 Key Responsibilities
Design Vision & Strategy
- Define and own product design vision across editor, platform, APIs, and consumer touchpoints
- Drive a consistent design language and evolve design systems
- Lead UX strategy for AI-native interaction paradigms
Team Leadership
- Hire, mentor, and grow UX/UI designers and researchers
- Conduct design reviews and set high standards for craft and user advocacy
- Foster a feedback-rich, inclusive design culture
Hands-On Design & Craft
- Lead design for flagship features and complex UX challenges
- Own workflows for AI scene generation, asset manipulation, and spatial editing
- Produce high-fidelity prototypes and validate interaction patterns
User Research & Insights
- Drive usability testing, contextual inquiry, and analytics-led discovery
- Translate qualitative and quantitative signals into actionable design insights
- Conduct competitive UX audits across SaaS and 3D creation tools
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product Management to co-own roadmap prioritization
- Collaborate with Engineering to ensure design feasibility and quality
- Represent design strategy in executive, investor, and client conversations
