Role Overview

Sun King is hiring an SDE – Quality Engineer to ensure product reliability and excellence across its platforms. This role involves designing, executing, and maintaining functional, regression, and integration testing, while building UI and API automation frameworks to improve coverage and release efficiency.

You’ll collaborate closely with development teams to reproduce issues, validate fixes, and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth, high-quality releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain test cases, plans, and scripts.
• Identify and document software defects, track them to closure.
• Analyze bugs and provide detailed insights for root cause resolution.
• Partner with developers to reproduce issues and validate fixes.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites (API/UI).
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Validate production issues, support troubleshooting, and verify hotfixes.
• Recommend improvements in performance, usability, and reliability.
• Participate in requirement and design reviews for clarity and testability.
• Benchmark against competitor products and suggest enhancements.
• Maintain detailed QA documentation and continuously improve frameworks.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science/IT or related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in software testing (manual + automation exposure).
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with automation tools/frameworks: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit.
• Basic programming/scripting knowledge (Java/Python preferred).
• SQL knowledge for backend/data validation testing.
• Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured).
• Experience with defect tracking/test management tools (Jira, TestRail).
• Strong analytical/debugging skills and Agile/Scrum experience.
• Ownership mindset with a track record of high-quality releases.

• Advanced automation frameworks or custom scripts.
