We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to identify new business opportunities, nurture client relationships, and strategically grow accounts in the EV and automotive sector. The role focuses on hunting new accounts, cultivating them to maturity, and transitioning them to Key Account Managers. This is a high-impact opportunity to contribute directly to the growth of a fast-scaling EV startup.

Mandatory Criteria

  • Candidates must be from EV companies, EV startups, or EV OEMs
  • Experience in hardware sales (electronic products)
  • Proven experience in selling EV products to OEMs and clients (e.g., Bajaj, Mahindra, EV clients)
  • Strong track record of success in business development, sales, or account management

๐ŸŽฏ Key Responsibilities

Prospecting & Lead Generation

  • Identify potential clients through networking, cold calling, and market research
  • Generate leads and build a robust pipeline of prospective accounts

Client Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Initiate contact with decision-makers in target companies
  • Develop and nurture client relationships, understanding their needs and objectives
  • Conduct meetings, presentations, and negotiations to secure new business

Strategic Account Development

  • Analyze industry landscape and competitive positioning
  • Identify opportunities for growth within accounts and expand footprint
  • Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions for client needs

Pipeline Management

  • Manage the sales pipeline effectively and track progress
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions and sales activity in CRM systems

Transitioning Accounts

  • Work with Key Account Managers to ensure smooth handover of new accounts
  • Provide insights and background information for continuity in client relationships

Market Research & Analysis

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments
  • Analyze data to identify new opportunities and areas for growth

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Proven success in business development, sales, or account management
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain long-term client relationships
