Role Overview

Seeking a Senior Staff Cloud Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable cloud architectures. This role emphasizes automation, security, compliance, and developer experience, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-performance cloud solutions aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Architecture & Strategy: Define and evolve AWS-based cloud architecture, design secure and scalable event-driven systems, and build integrations for enterprise customers.
• Security & Compliance: Guide SOC2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and GxP compliance; embed secure-by-design practices.
• Customer Enablement: Partner with solutions engineering and customers to validate complex deployments and productize implementations.
• Leadership & Influence: Act as a technical thought leader across cloud, data, and security domains; mentor engineers and influence technical strategy.
• Data Platforms & Governance: Advise on database architecture, storage design, and governance frameworks.
• Developer Experience & DevOps: Build CI/CD pipelines, promote IaC best practices, and embed reliability and compliance standards.

Requirements

• 12+ years in cloud engineering/architecture roles.
• Deep expertise in AWS and distributed application design (microservices, containers, event-driven).
• Hands-on with SQL, NoSQL, analytical, and specialized databases.
• Strong foundation in data management, governance, and compliance.
• Experience supporting security and compliance functions in SaaS/enterprise environments.
• Expertise with IaC (Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of networking, security, observability, and performance engineering.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.

Good to Have

• Exposure to Azure/GCP.
• Experience in SaaS/PaaS at enterprise scale.
• Background in product engineering.
