Role Overview

Proximity is looking for a Senior React Native Engineer to lead the architecture and delivery of high-quality, performant mobile applications. This role requires deep expertise in React Native internals, performance optimization, and mobile platform fundamentals, along with strong ownership and mentorship capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own application architecture (navigation, state management, data flow, error handling).
• Establish and enforce engineering standards (TypeScript, linting, testing, commit conventions).
• Own native module strategy (Bridges, TurboModules, JSI) while minimizing native code.
• Set and monitor performance budgets (TTI, bundle size, memory usage, UI jank).
• Design and operate CI/CD pipelines (code signing, build flavors, OTA updates via CodePush).
