As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in IBM’s product engineering team. Your focus will be on designing and sustaining a robust, automated, and scalable delivery framework that supports modern software products. In this position, you’ll partner closely with developers, QA specialists, and product managers in a collaborative, agile setup — ensuring faster releases, reliable systems, and a culture built on automation and continuous improvement.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines across dev, test, staging, and production.
• Automate build, deployment, and configuration using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Helm, Terraform.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and containerized deployments.
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability.
• Enable A/B testing, canary releases, and blue-green deployments.
• Integrate test automation and support incident management.
• Maintain observability tools and alerting systems.

🎓 Education

• Required: Bachelor’s Degree
• Preferred: Master’s Degree

✅ Required Skills

• 10+ years in DevOps or equivalent roles
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Linux, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud)
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, Go)
• Familiarity with monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, OpenTelemetry)
• Strong grasp of networking, security, and source control tools (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket)

🌐 Preferred Skills

• Experience with Istio, Linkerd, and modern deployment strategies
• Exposure to SRE principles (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets)
• Knowledge of chaos engineering, cost optimization, and scaling
• Prior work in product-oriented DevOps for SaaS or platform teams
